Electric skateboards have been growing in popularity over the few past years. They are a great alternative to traditional skateboarding, and they can be a lot of fun to ride.
It’s not hard, but there are a few things you need to know. We’re going to teach you the basics of riding an electric skateboard. After reading this post, you’ll be ready to try it out yourself.
So let’s get started …
First, you need to know how to ride a regular skateboard! If you don’t already know-how, make sure to check out some tutorials on YouTube.
Electric skateboards are easier than regular skateboards because motors do all the work for you. The boards we carry have a throttle and brake that you can use to control the speed and movement.
These two levers are all you need to get started, then later you might want an advanced remote that has more features like different ride modes and speed settings.
How to ride on a skateboard? Is electric skateboards hard?
The first step to electric skateboarding is just getting on the board.
Just hop on and push forward with one foot to start moving (the best way to explain it is like trying to ride a bike). You can use your other foot as a balance, try not to put both feet on the board in the beginning.
If you want to go faster, just lean forward and start using both your feet.
It’s easier to control speed when you put one foot in front of the other – like when you’re rollerblading or ice skating. Most boards have lights that turn on while you’re riding, so it’s easy to see where you’re going.
Heels, toes, and other parts of your feet work too! If you want more speed without increasing the throttle, just tilt the board forward (imagine how it moves when you lean forward on a regular skateboard). You can find more tips like these in our beginner’s guide.
